Do I believe I will meet the £4500 target for January? In a word - Yes, below you will see the last 3 weeks results of the 2008 Tennis Season which I was proofing to some fellow professionals.

Ignoring the two 1st set correct score bets, which are part of a different method I will be working on in the new year, from 42 bets there were 39 wins and 3 losses (93% success rate). This is broadly in line with the test results since June, and the back testing over the last 9 years results and culminated in £1075.64 profit for the 3 week proofing period.

Given that I will now have the time to double the number of markets I can trade on, and will be starting with 50% higher staking, £3000 from the tennis should be the minimum I would expect. The results are reproduced below:

(Out of interest, you can see from the above screenshot, the total profit for that 3 week period was £2,400, the remaining £1,300 coming from the Horses - not a bad part-time income for the 3 weeks me thinks!)

In addition, to coincide with my free e-book, I decided to carry out an experiment over the last 30 days, with no tennis going on, purely on Horse Racing:

In my e-book, you will find how you can create a £1000 betting bank from scratch, using free money from the bookies, I took £1000 and applied the staking and methods detailed in my free e-book, the 30 days were up yesterday, and the results can be seen from the following graph:

The 30 days culminated in a net 55% increase on the starting bank, so my question is, why would I want to invest in a cash ISA at 6% gross per annum, with my money being invested by the clowns responsible for the state of the current financial climate, when I can take 55% net per month and complete control? Thats without adding in the Tennis Trading profits?
So again, am I confident?

YES!

All the best

Finished up with the fulltime work yesterday, so now we begin! As expected, the naysayers have made themselves known early on, i wish them continued success in whatever way they continue to underachieve!

Saturday!

Strangely enough, to the professional, either a day off, or a very quiet one as far as betting action. There are vast numbers of mug punters flooding the markets and skewing some of the  value odds and true prices, because they read a tip in the paper.

Of the 40 or so Horse Races today i'm interested in perhaps 6 or so, so lets see how today goes! I'll be back to update later!

Ok, 3.15 now and finished for the day, very quiet, but befair results show £69.80 profit for the day:

More than happy with this, as my target in January is going to be around £50 per day from the Horses and i would expect to be placing an average of 20 or more bets on a normal day at the office.

I just wanted to say thanks to the people who have e-mailed me in support of this venture, you know how to get hold of me if you have any questions, and i shall continue to keep in touch. Next time I update I shall probably publish the Tennis results i was proofing to a couple of fellow proffessionals at the back-end of the Tennis season in October/November - This might help to illustrate why I am fairly confident that I will reach the targets I have set, from memory I was able to round of the season with 22 consecutive wins on the Tennis!

Till next time

Everyone else has one, so I thought it was time I got me a Blog, so welcome!

I have been a part-time professional Gambler for many years, and having completed 12 consecutive straight months of Profit in 2008, I now have the opportunity to "Go for it " Full-Time!!

On a personal level it's my dream job - no income tax, no VAT, no set hours, no politics, no boundaries on where or when you work, no limit to what you can earn - but it also means no safety net!! From a psychological perspective, that makes it a whole new ball game (no pun intended). Will it work? There's only one way to find out. Sometimes you've just got to do the scary things to check that you're still alive!

Although I will continue with my Horse Racing portfolio for the remainder of the year, the real fun begins on 1st January, when the ATP and WTA tours start up again. Tennis is my passion from a sports trading perspective!

I have set a target for January of £1500 from the Horses and £3000 from the Tennis, so lets see how things go.

If you want to know how I intend to go about it, download my free E-Book at www.bettingalchemy.com, which details exactly what I shall be doing.

I am also working with a couple of the professionals I mention on my website, to produce a detailed breakdown of the trading methods I employ on the Tennis, which we hope to publish mid January!

So - will I survive, or will I crash and burn? - keep "tuned in" to the blog to find out!

All the best

Paul

(Oh my God, what have I gone and done!)
